ALCAT / Food Allergy Testing
- Attention deficit disorder
- Irritable bowel syndrome (IBS)
Through a blood analysis, the ALCAT test examines how the body metabolizes food, and identifies “trigger” foods that may be causing health problems in a patient. Identifying and eliminating “trigger” foods from a patient’s diet can lead to weight loss and regained health and energy.
The ALCAT test differs from a food allergy test, in that it measures a body’s sensitivity to foods. Sensitivity to foods is much more common than food allergies (only 4% of people have food allergies), with upwards of 70% of people suffering from food intolerance.
Unknown food sensitivities can cause chronic mild to severe health problems. Dr. Ghaziaskar offers the ALCAT test to provide our patients with the most comprehensive answer to inflammatory and digestive symptoms. Call our Irvine office today at 949-660-7246 to make an appointment.
