ALCAT / Food Allergy Testing

Through a blood analysis, the ALCAT test examines how the body metabolizes food, and identifies “trigger” foods that may be causing health problems in a patient. Identifying and eliminating “trigger” foods from a patient’s diet can lead to weight loss and regained health and energy.

The ALCAT test differs from a food allergy test, in that it measures a body’s sensitivity to foods. Sensitivity to foods is much more common than food allergies (only 4% of people have food allergies), with upwards of 70% of people suffering from food intolerance.
